CHRISTMAS
We were spoiled on our first cruise with all the Christmas decorations and the sweet smells of the homemade gingerbread house that is housed in the balcony of the atrium. Every time you walk past it, you will want to stop and smell the ginger!

Emily was chosen as one of the few VIP's for a special Meet and Greet with all the princesses and other Disney favorites.

Meeting Donald and Daisy at the same time was awesome!

Decorations at the terminal.

Tree in the terminal with cute nautical ornaments.

We decorated our room with small santa bags I purchased on Lakeside Collection and a Mickey Head Christmas Tree I purchased from the Disney Store Character Warehouse on Vineland Ave. in Orlando, FL.

All the sweets and treats were amazing! These were for display but I think they cut into them later that day.

Cookies and hot chocolate (even cool chocolate for the kids) were given out as treats on Christmas morning while Charles Dickens Christmas Carolers sang in the background. Get there early. The treats go quick!

Not my favorite, but thought I'd snap a pic of it. You can see the gingerbread house behind this cake. The smell was amazing!

Examples of gingerbread houses made by Disney bakers. You have a chance to sign up to make your own, but sign up early!

These singers were incredible! I'll post a video below.

They even posed for a picture for me! How awesome!

Santa was not on the ship Christmas Day (he was busy delivering presents around the world), so Mrs. Claus read stories to the kids. If the kids stayed around, there was a special surprise nobody knew about! All the characters came out for a special meet and greet! (SECRET)

And here they come! Too bad my daughter left to go see a movie during the book readings. She missed this fun!
Below are photos of a fun character party they had on Christmas Day. Kids had a chance to limbo, hula hoop, dance, and do the conga line around the decks with their favorite Disney characters.

We received a special gift in our room Christmas night. It's a special edition cruise photo. They also give you a token to take to the atrium for a special calendar. We were given 4 of them because some people didn't want theirs, so I used the extras as gifts and scrapbook pages.

Here's a closer look at the picture we were given. I heard people left theirs behind because they were too big to travel with on planes. I wish I was able to grab a few more. These are amazing!

The following pictures are of the gingerbread making. This is a very quick activity, so be prepared to move fast! I think we were rushed. Ours would have looked better had we had more time. You are limited to one gingerbread house per stateroom. They are not allowed off the ship, so either eat your creation or leave it in your stateroom to enjoy the sweet smell of gingerbread. These are made from a kit, so they were not made by Disney bakers. I can't remember if we paid for them. I want to say this was a free activity we signed up for at Port Excursions. It was on a sea day, on Christmas Day.

"No...don't eat it Daddy!" as my daughter is pushing his face away from it!
