Some people ask, "why do we have to do the muster drill?" Well, this is a way for you to know where to meet in case of an emergency on the ship. The large letter on your KTW card indicates the muster station where you will meet.
During the drill, cast members will go over the process of applying the lifejacket and what to do in case of an emergency. During my first cruise, we were required to wear the life jackets to the muster drill. Thankfully, you no longer have to wear them or bring them with you.
The muster drill is required for everyone who is cruising. The drill is required for everyone who is cruising. You cannot skip this so ,PLEASE, don't even try!!! It is miserable sitting on the deck in the hot sun waiting on cruisers who decide not to go. If you don't go, don't worry, they will find you!!! You will be required to make up the session. Just go, get it over with, and be ready to have a great vacation. I consider this (and the disembarkation) the worst part of the cruise.
One of my favorite activities on Disney cruises is the Sailing Away Party.
